For the second consecutive week, Colorado's Jalen Tompkins was named Pac-12 Goalie of the Week. After winning the award the past two weeks, it is the third time a Buffs player has earned a conference player of the week award after Joss Orejel was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 29. Tompkins also earned goalkeeper of the week twice last season.
She helped the Buffs record two more shutouts on the road last week, extending her scoreless streak to 408 minutes. Tompkins totaled nine saves in 180 minutes.
On Thursday, she had three saves in a 1-0 win at Oregon State. On Sunday, she made six saves in a 2-0 win at Oregon. Sunday's win was the 10th of the season for the Buffs, their fourth 10-win season in the past five years.
Tompkins needs to go 56 more minutes without conceding to break the school's record for consecutive shutout minutes in conference-only matches. She also helped CU break the single-season school record for shutouts with its 13th of the year on Sunday.
