The Colorado women's tennis team finished a sweep of the state of New Mexico on Sunday in Albuquerque, defeating the New Mexico Lobos, 5-2, at the McKinnon Family Tennis Center.

After taking down both New Mexico State and New Mexico this weekend, CU's record is now 7-2 on the season, while the loss moved UNM to 2-4.

The Buffs took the doubles point early on with a pair of hard-fought wins by the duos of junior Brigitte Beckand sophomore Chloe Hule as well as juniors Jeannez Daniel and Ilana Oleynik. On court No. 3, Daniel and Oleynik took down the Lobos' Natasha Munday and Lauren Rich, 6-2. In the No. 1 doubles match, Beck and Hule clinched the doubles point, 7-6, over UNM's Ruth Copas and Danielle Quevedo.

The doubles pairing of Beck and Hule remains undefeated this season with a record of 7-0.

In singles play, CU picked up wins from freshman Linda Huang, senior Kyra Wojcik, Hule and Oleynik.

In the No. 1 singles match, the No. 109-ranked Huang defeated Copas, 6-2, 7-5; Hule took down Quevedo, 6-2, 6-2 on court No. 2; and on court No. 6, Oleynik clinched the match, 6-4, 6-2, over Rich.

Wojcik beat UNM's Hsiang-Wen Huang, 7-5, 7-6, after the match had been clinched.

Huang is now 7-2 in singles play this season, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot.
