The Colorado men's golf team slipped one spot into third place but remained in the overall hunt after the second round of the 49th Annual Gene Miranda-Air Force Falcon Invitational on Saturday.

Wyoming, which had been tied for second with the Buffaloes after one round, shot a blistering team round of 18-under par to assume the team lead with a 554 score, or 22-under par overall. Colorado State, the first-round leader, also turned in a solid round of 13-under to finish two rounds at 19-under 557. Colorado holds third place at 11-under 565, as the Buffaloes rebounded from a slow start to card a 7-under team score of 281. Northern Colorado (568) and Texas-El Paso (570) round out the top five.

Yannik Paul continued to pace the Buffs here, carding a 1-under 71 Saturday to stand tied for fourth at 6-under 138 on Air Force's 7,511-yard, par-72 Eisenhower Blue Golf Course. He had three birdies and 13 pars against two bogeys in the second round, with his 10 birdies through 36 holes tied for the fourth-most in the field.
