The Colorado women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 setback Friday at UCLA.
The Buffs fell to 9-9 overall and 1-6 in the Pac-12, while the No. 20-ranked Bruins improved to 11-5 and 5-1.
The Buffaloes dropped the doubles point to the Bruins after UCLA won 6-2 at No. 2 and 6-3 at No. 1.
Kyra Wojcik came up short 6-1, 6-2 against Alaina Miller at No. 4 singles and UCLA took a 2-0 early lead over the Buffs. The Bruins added a point at the No. 1 singles spot as Nuria Ormeño Ruiz fell to the No. 2 ranked singles player in the country, UCLA's Ena Shibahara, 6-1, 6-3.
It came down to the No. 3 singles spot to see if the Buffs could sneak in and grab a point, but Annabelle Andrinopoulos fell 6-2, 6-1 to UCLA's Jada Hart. The other matches on the court were then suspended as UCLA took home the 4-0 victory over CU.
The Buffs take on USC at 1 pm. Saturday at Marks Stadium in Los Angeles.
