The Colorado women's lacrosse team is receiving more national attention in light of a 3-0 start.

This week, the Buffs cracked the top 10 of the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media poll. The Buffs moved up five spots to No. 9, following their 11-7 win over then-No. 16 Massachusetts and 22-3 decision against Stetson.

Colorado also broke into the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll this week for the first time in program history, debuting at 13th. It is the first coaches' poll of the season, and the Buffs were not ranked in the preseason poll that came out on Jan. 30.

In the NIKE/US Lacrosse Magazine poll, the Buffs stayed at 11th for the second straight week.

North Carolina (3-0) was the top team in each of the three polls.

Colorado will open its final season of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play Sunday against UC Davis in Boulder. Opening draw is set for noon at Kittredge Field.
