Colorado's Ana Holland broke her own school record in winning the 100 meters Friday at the Air Force Twilight.

Holland's time of 11.61 seconds was .02 faster than her previous best time set April 9 at the CU Invitational, breaking a 26-year-old-record (11.65). Holland also set CU's 200 record (23.45) a couple of weeks ago at Mt. SAC Relays, breaking her old record of 23.54.

Holland was joined at the U.S. Air Force Academy by several of her teammates, who were also taking advantage of getting in one more meet prior to the postseason. The meet paid off for many of them as the Buffs came away with numerous season and personals bests to move up the regional performance list.

Alex Peters raced her first 200 of the season and won in 24.15, while Eileen Gehring, who was also running her first 200 of the campaign, took second overall in 24.22. The Buffs also took the next two places, with Tashay Brown (24.72) and Rajon O'Quinn (25.42) taking third and fourth, respectively. Gabby Scott won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.79, and O'Quinn was sixth (1:08.67) in her first attempt at the event.

Colorado excelled in the men's 400-hurdles. Jaron Thomas led the team with a first-place effort of 52.27 performance, while Trenton Stringari was second (53.48). Garrett Losty placed fourth (54.59), and Isaiah Kaiser was fifth (54.86). The Buffs also took top honors in the 110-hurdles, with Alex Billing finishing in 14.57.

Brady Rutt had a very nice day for the men, winning the hammer throw (191-4 ¼ ) and placing third in the discus with a 179-4 ¼ PR.

CU's jumpers were led by Kelsey English who jumped a season best 5-10 ½ to place second overall. O'Quinn was third after clearing 5-5.
