Colorado tennis player Nuria Ormeño Ruiz received honorable mention all-Pac-12 recognition on Wednesday in the conference's postseason awards voted by the coaches. It is the first conference award she has earned in her career.

A junior from Barcelona, Spain, Ormeño Ruiz led CU to one of its best seasons in recent history. She posted a 23-13 overall singles record, including 7-7 at the No. 1 singles position after moving into that spot halfway through the season. She also went 12-13 in doubles play, with a team-best six wins at the No. 1 doubles spot. Her 23 singles wins ranked 25th in Buffaloes single-season history.

For her career, she enters her senior campaign 22nd in CU history in singles wins (61), 19th in winning percentage (.629) and 31st in combined singles and doubles wins (100).
