Chloe Hule of Australia is the first recruit to sign a national letter of intent with the University of Colorado tennis program for the 2016-17 academic year, CU tennis coach Nicole Kenneally announced Monday.

"I am excited for Chloe to be joining us in the fall," Kenneally said. "Chloe is a great player with a wealth of international experience and, along with that, she is a great girl who is going to fit right into our team culture. She is ready to play, compete and win in the Pac-12 Conference."

Hule, from Adelaide, South Australia, is the highest-ranked Australian signed under Kenneally. She has been ranked as high as No. 188 in the world among juniors, and 45th among females of all ages in Australia.

Hule has been a member of the Australian/Asian Pacific League for five years and was a member of the Australian 16-and-under American Travel Team when she was 15.
