Colorado`s season opener is less than a week away. The Buffs begin the 2009 campaign against Valparaiso on Friday at the University of Florida.
"With our first match quickly approaching, it`s important that we keep progressing through our preseason training," Kritza said. "I`m pleased with what I have seen so far. Obviously with a brand new team and coaching staff, it takes some time to put our system together."
The Buffs` home opener will be against San Diego on Sept. 11 as part of the Colorado Invitational.

fund-raiser today
Colorado tennis coach Nicole Kenneally will hold the fifth annual Tennis Marathon for Breast Cancer at the Millennium Harvest House today.
The marathon will run 8 a.m.-5 p.m., followed by a celebrity match at 5 p.m. and an event dinner afterward.
Cost per team to compete in the marathon is $500. Teams can be coed, in addition to tennis playing children of different levels -- from beginner to advanced.
The event grossed over $64,000 during the previous four years with over 500 participants. The money raised is awarded to Boulder County patients to help with their expenses.
The Tennis Marathons two beneficiaries are HealthLinks Foundation and the Boulder Community Hospital Foundation -- Tebo Family Medical Pavilion.
Kenneally founded this charitable foundation in support of the several players` families who had been affected by this disease. She is entering her 11th year with the Buffaloes.
