Buffs rout Texas Tech in tennis
LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Colorado women's tennis team swept its singles matches against Texas Tech on Sunday for a 6-1 victory.
The win marks the first time this season CU has lost the doubles point and gone on to win. The Buffs improved to 4-1 in the Big 12 and 7-8 overall.
Senior Gleisy Torres Torres clinched the team victory at the No. 3 slot with a straight set win over Simone Templeton, 6-4, 6-2. Torres Torres also broke a two-match skid and has now won six of her last eight.
CU returns to Boulder to close out the home season Friday against Texas and next Sunday against Texas A&M at the South Campus Courts.
