The University of Colorado golfer won the Missouri State Amateur Championship on Sunday on the 6,875-yard, par-72 WingHaven Country Club course located about 20 miles west of St. Louis.
Bardgett, the No. 61 seed entering match play, defeated No. 2 seed Skip Berkmeyer, 8 and 6. The CU junior-to-be was 5-under par for the day when the match was called in his favor.
Bardgett qualified with a 79-76-155 scorecard in stroke play last Tuesday and Wednesday.
"I think I missed just one putt all week inside of six or seven feet and that really keeps the pressure on your opponent," Bardgett said. "I had no big numbers and that kept me in a good rhythm."
