CU extends deal with FSN

Colorado officials announced Wednesday a multiyear extension with FSN Rocky Mountain, a deal that gives the network telecast rights to CU athletic events.

The extension gives FSN Rocky Mountain the rights to air CU programming through July 2013.

During the 2007-08 academic year, FSN Rocky Mountain will have produced nine men's regular season basketball games, six women's basketball games, one women's soccer game and one women's volleyball game. In addition, the network also shows Big 12 Conference football games, women's basketball games and the weekly magazine show "Big 12 Showcase."

SHOWCASE IN BOULDER -- FSN's "Big 12 Showcase" will be taping in Boulder next week. Host Emily Jones will be talking to men's basketball coach Jeff Bzdelik and women's coach Kathy McConnell-Miller about their programs. Jones also will talk to CU Alpine skier Lucie Zikova, who recently set a school record for the most career alpine wins (13) by a male or female skier. The show will air Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. and again Feb. 23 at 3 a.m.

Thank goodness! This is the only way I get to see the Buffs on the East Coast!

I second that!! This is the only way I can see any Buff action here in DC. I'm pretty sick of watching everything from the ACC out here.

Same deal up here in Big 10 country. And on DirecTV, its cheaper to get the sports pack (for out of town FSNs) than the ESPN pay per view.

Go Buffs, stay in primetime baby!!

Its a disaster here on the east coast. Comcast doesn't carry FSN. Thanks a lot. I'll have to purchase a satellite system just to watch any Buff game on FSN.
