The game was mostly an opportunity for some of the Buffs' 11 newcomers to get playing time before the regular season begins later this week in Boulder, but coach Bill Hempen was still pleased to see what his team will do against other players.
"It was a good opportunity for the kids to get out there and play somebody different," Hempen said. "Overall, it was a good effort and a great chance for us to lock down who our starting 11 will be against Florida."
The Buffs have less than one week before they kick off the regular season with a game against No. 20 Florida on Friday at 4 p.m. at Prentup Field. CU will wrap up the weekend on Sunday when they face in-state rival Denver at 1 p.m.
