Kory Harrell fought through steady rain and two lightning delays to shoot 72 in the second round and maintain his lead at the CGA Stroke Play Championship on Friday.

Harrell's 137 total on the par-70 Pinehurst Country Club course gives him a one-stroke lead over Jonathan Marsico.

CU golfer and 2006 stroke play champ Patrick Grady is one more stroke back. Grady's Colorado teammate and current CGA Match Play champion Luke Symons shot 71 to join Grady at 139, as did Jon Lindstrom.

Former Buff and 2004 CGA Player of the Year Steve Irwin of Lakewood CC found himself five stokes back at 142 after turning in a second round score of 74.
