A former University of Colorado linebacker who police say was found bleeding and passed out in the hallway of a residence hall early Sunday has been charged with first-degree trespassing.
Jake Duren, a junior who played with CU in the Independence Bowl Dec. 30, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. at Smiley Court family housing at 1300 30th St. after a blood trail linked him to the smashed-in window of a vehicle in the parking lot.
Following the arrest, Duren was cut from the team.
He's due back in court on May 8.

Hey,Rodrigo, isn't Duren "innocent until proven guilty"? Hey, Out to pasture, why aren't you claiming with Duren, as you did with Geer and Kotoa, that no one knows the real facts? Where is EP claiming everyone knows football players are really picked on by rich kids? If Duren faces Judicial affairs, where are the posts that claim this is America and no one should face double jeopardy?
When you make outrageous claims, like football players are picked on, when they face charges of felonious assaults, it works both ways. You have to treat all defendants, similarly placed, the same way. By making these claims for Katoa and Geer but not for Duren, can't you guys see how "out of control" your thinking is? Try to look on both sides i.e. like the fathers of the victims, before you claim rights for one that you won't grant the other.
