Women's Final Four previews: April 6

UCONN UPDATE: The Huskies, the overall No. 1 seed, enter the national semifinals having won 30 of their past 32 NCAA Tournament games. Maya Moore, the Huskies leading scorer, was named the Big East Player of the Year and is only the second freshman to be named to the AP All-American first team.

PLAYERS TO WATCH: F Moore (17.8 ppg, 7.6 rpg), G Renee Montgomery (14.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg), G Ketia Swanier (6.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg)

STANFORD UPDATE: The Cardinal are one of two No. 2 seeds in the Final Four. Stanford lost to Connecticut 66-54 in November, but has rebounded, entering the Final Four on a 22-game win streak. Cardinal senior Candice Wiggins, the team's leading scorer, was on Saturday named the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Wade Trophy Player of the Year.

PLAYERS TO WATCH: G Wiggins (20.2 ppg, 4.6 apg); C Jayne Appel (15.0 ppg, 8.9 rpg), F Kayla Pedersen (12.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg).

LSU (31-5) vs.

Tennessee (34-2)

Tipoff: 7:30 p.m.

TV: ESPN,

LSU UPDATE: The Tigers, a No. 2 seed, are making their fifth consecutive appearance in the Final Four, but are still looking for their first title. LSU won its third outright regular-season SEC conference championship, but lost to Tennessee, 61-55, in the SEC Tournament. Coach Van Chancellor was named the SEC Coach of the Year and center Sylvia Fowles the SEC Player of the Year.

PLAYERS TO WATCH: C Fowles (17.2 ppg, 10.0 rpg), G Quianna Chaney (14.6 ppg, 3.2 apg), G Erica White (7.7 ppg, 4.4. apg)

TENNESSEE UPDATE: The Volunteers are the defending national champions and are making their 18th appearance in the Final Four. Tennessee is the only program to have participated in all 27 NCAA women's tournaments. Leading scorer Candace Parker dislocated her left shoulder in the regional final, but is expected to play on Sunday night.

PLAYERS TO WATCH: F/C Parker (21.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg), G Alexis Hornbuckle (10.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg), G Shannon Bobbitt (9.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg)
