CU's Barringer wins steeplechase at UNC
GREELEY -- In her first race since finishing second at the NCAA cross country national championships, Colorado's Jenny Barringer won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Tom Benich Invitational on Saturday.

Barringer finished in 10 minutes, 28.18 seconds to also earn a regional qualifying mark.
She dominated the field Saturday. Colorado State's Danielle Rawlings was second in 12:13.32.
Other winners for the CU women were Allison Eckert in the 1,500 and Chelsea Haverty in the 200.
Brandin Williams led the men's team with first in the javelin.
At the Texas Relays, the Buff team of Hugh Charles, Ryan Campbell, Jared Stewart and Jeremy Dodson finished fifth in the 800-meter relay at the Texas Relays.
They finished in 1:24.97. They were the second-best Big 12 team in the race, behind second-place Baylor.
At the Stanford Invitational, Chris Pannone earned an automatic qualifying mark for the NCAA championships by finishing in 28:49 in the 10K. He was fourth in his section. Laura Thweatt finished sixth in her section of the 5K with a time of 16:54.25.
