CU netters fall to 14th-ranked Horns
Colorado senior Gleisy Torres Torres became the 14th woman in school history to win 70 career singles matches on Friday.
But it wasn't enough as the Buffs fell to No. 14 Texas 6-1 at home.
The Buffs fell to 7-9 overall and 4-2 in Big 12 Conference play, while Texas improved to 11-4, 5-0.
Torres Torres beat UT's Stephanie Davison 6-0, 6-4 at No. 3 singles for her fifth Big 12 win of the spring and 15th victory of the year.
But after narrowly winning the doubles point, Texas cruised the rest of the way save for Torres Torres's performance.
Torres Torres also picked up a victory at No. 3 doubles with freshman Abbie Probert. UT won the other two doubles matches.
CU hosts its final home dual of the season at 10 a.m. today against No. 30 Texas A&M at the South Campus Courts.
