Woelk: Husker fans, keep that e-mail coming
Want to get Nebraska football fans' attention?
Mention "rivalry" and "Colorado and Nebraska" in the same sentence. They'll flood your Web site, send a deluge of e-mails your way, and generally spend all kinds of their "valuable" time telling you exactly why they don't consider Colorado a rival.

Their righteous indignation is amusing, to say the least. The fact that they spend so much time denying the existence of the rivalry is actually concrete proof that one exists.
(Of course, it's not like they have a lot of other things to do this time of year. The tractors are in the barn, or shed, or wherever it is they keep their farm implements; the crops have been harvested; and the cheerleaders have been sufficiently fed. With lots of spare time on their hands, they troll the Internet, looking for slights, imagined or otherwise.)
Indeed, they are a fun bunch, those Husker folk. I look forward to hearing from them every year. It's kind of like teasing your little brother — you know you'll get a response.
But teasing aside, there's no denying Colorado and Nebraska have been closely intertwined for the past couple of decades. The fortunes of one have had a direct effect on the those of the other.
The connection goes back to the days of Bill McCartney at Colorado, when Mac had the audacity to declare that Colorado aspired to be at Nebraska's level. Mac made the game a red-letter day on CU's schedule, and much to the consternation of Nebraska fans, the Buffs lived up to Mac's goal.
Fact: McCartney actually won a national title before the much-revered Tom Osborne. When McCartney beat Osborne in 1989 and again in'90, Ozzie took note. He changed his recruiting practices and began to follow Mac's lead: he began recruiting specifically to beat Colorado.
It also didn't hurt that Mac virtually gave Osborne perhaps his most valuable recruit ever.
When Mac decided to change from a run-based attack to pass-oriented offense, he recruited Koy Detmer and told Tommie Frazier — who was leaning toward CU — that he’d better look elsewhere.
Not something Mac wants to be remembered for.
Ozzie then proceeded to win three national titles before retiring into a life of politics and turning the reins over to Frank Solich.
Mac, meanwhile, also left, giving way to Rick Neuheisel, who never beat the Huskers.
But when Gary Barnett showed up at CU, the Buffs once again had a direct effect on NU’s future.
In 2001, Barnett exposed what NU fans didn’t want to admit. Solich’s recruiting — and coaching staff — had slipped. When the Buffs embarrassed NU in 2001, it was the beginning of the end of Solich’s tenure.
Solich actually lasted two more seasons — and even beat Colorado in his final game as NU’s coach — but the die had already been cast. NU athletic director Steve Pederson promised a new direction and hired Bill Callahan.
Callahan didn’t turn anything around in his first year. When he lost to Colorado at the end of his first season, the drumbeat for his dismissal grew.
But 2005 once again proved to be a watershed moment for both programs.
With Barnett fighting for his job after an embarrassing loss at Iowa State, and Callahan fighting to keep his team moving forward, the Huskers came to Boulder and thumped the Buffs, 30-3.
Less than two weeks later, Barnett was gone.
Callahan, meanwhile, went from being on the hot seat to being firmly in control. NU finished last season with a bowl win over Michigan, and this year won its first Big 12 North title since 1999.
All from a springboard win over Colorado.
The irony can’t be missed.
In 2001, Colorado started Nebraska on a downward spiral that saw NU’s historical streak of winning seasons and bowl bids come to an end while also setting the stage for one of the most controversial coaching changes in college ball.
In 2005, the Buffs were the catalyst for NU’s return to the top of the Big 12 North.
Now, in 2006, the Buffs have been reduced to the role of spoiler. Their goal is to send NU to the Big 12 title game with a loss in the rearview mirror.
The best part?
No matter what, a horde of NU fans will read this and respond. They can’t help themselves. It’s the carrot they can’t resist.
They’ll click, they’ll type, and they’ll let us know exactly how they feel.
Gotta love those folks.

Are you kidding? CU never won a national championship, they stole one-remember MIzzou??
McCartney in the same breathe as Tom Osborne??
Again are you kidding?
Every CU coach since Eddie Crowder has been somewhat of a Looney Tune, this program has had more ups and downs than Madonna!
The only time CU had it right was the time they tried to hire Osborne.
And we know you CU fans and writers have no respect for NU or its fans, you guys show your low class at every CU/NU game (and I have attended many both in Lincoln and Boulder) from throwing bottles to starting fights.
Yea, you have a proram to be proud of!!!

But seriously, what do you guys do this time of year?

Of COURSE CU is Nebraska's main rival. Once upon a time, it was Oklahoma, but the Sooners and Huskers don't even play every year anymore.
And don't give me that nonsense about the Big 12 division schedules. OU and NU COULD play each other those "off" two years in non-league games. They CHOOSE not to. Why? Because they're no longer big rivals, that's why. It's even easier now than before with the 12-game regular-season schedule.
CU is Nebraska's ARCHRIVAL. Any Husker fan who suggests otherwise is living alongside a famous river in Egypt.
Oh, by the way. If CU beats Nebraska on Friday (unlikely, I realize), the all-time series will be tied 14-14-1, not counting the Devaney-Osborne era. ;-)

Holidays must be a hoot when Oliver Stone, Dan Rather, Bill OReilly & you get together. So did you think the moon landing was actually done in a gymnasium, or on a sound studio?
... 5 downs.... 5 downs.
And yes, you probably might be a rival, only because they took Oklahoma away from us. (tear)

You stupid Husker fans, I'm sick of your mouths already. You once good bunch of losers. I'm tired of you scraping by on your name alone. Any other team with your record now would not be ranked and that’s the only reason you have any fire.
Callahan is a JOKE! Was a joke in the pros and is a joke in college. No matter what any of you have to say about NU's dominance over CU it still doesn't best the fact that CU beat No.1 Nebraska 62-36. #1 Nebraska. Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch. You stupid people even fired probably one of the top ten coaches in the nation. And hired a reject from the Raiders? Are you kidding me?
You’re so lame you recruited a Juco quarterback. And your top scholarship quarterback bailed because he could see the painting on the wall. 8-3 looks good though sugar coated with wins over Troy, Nichols State Louisiana Tech. But everyone in Colorado knows the sour middle of losses to Oklahoma State, Texas and USC while barely scraping by Kansas and Texas A&M.
It's so pathetic I want to poke myself in the eye. I do give you credit thought. You are the perfect type of animal that takes pride in preying on the weak and down trodden, which explains the glee you had after last year's victory.
Why should we fans show you any kind of respect? We'd take your sister to the backseat if you hadn't already been there and done that. We don't want you to come to the games. We'll kick your butt on the field and in the stands. We don't put up with fake pompous asswipes who live in a constant state of denial.
CU sucks...You should beat us...but once again...I wouldn't be shocked if we won. We have a habit of beating NU recently when they are supposed to win. Then again I wouldn't expect anything but lame ass excuses from the fans and players that have showed so much class over the years. Just remember Sal. Just remember Sal.
Oh man I love waking up every day as a Buff fan no matter how embarrassing it is sometimes. Because what Hawk said is funny…funny because it’s true.

NU fans are the prime example of @$$ clowns. They tend to preach about how classy they are but I remember with much sadness at the signs posted around their pitiful stadium reading Sal is "Dead" go big red. Yeah that really is classy. The administration and the athletic departement knew those signs were there and failed to remove them until the camera showed it in plain view and the commentators commented on how classless it was for them to do so. I also recall how an NU football player leveled a fan in a Missou game and missed one game if that. Another sign of "Class".
Posted by cbuddau on November 22, 2006 at 10:04 a.m. (Suggest removal)
thats bullsh*t. Obviously you don't really remember. Not only were signs posted, but NU players went public accusing CU players of using Sal's death as a scapegoat if they lose.

How about the "Sal is dead, go Big Red painted on I-70? How about the "CU in hell Sal signs?" How about the Where's Sal Now?" sign at the basketball game? I've been to Lincoln - for a miserable weather game when CU scored 4 fourth quarter touchdowns to win. My sister and girlfriend were called "c#nts". Quit the holier-than-thou stuff. Anything Husker fans get when they're in Colorado - they earned.

Rival; one that equals another in desired qualities; one that is equal to another in status, achievement, or value.
Series history (45-17-2) Nebraska.
delusion: a : something that is falsely or delusively believed or propagated b : a persistent false psychotic belief regarding the self or persons or objects outside the self that is maintained despite indisputable evidence to the contrary; also : the abnormal state marked by such beliefs

No one at CU has delusions regarding the Buffs sucess this year. The Husker fans on the contrary suffer from delusions of grandeur. I've seen Callahan refered to as the "great" and they all seem to say "we're back". Back to what... #23? Big deal. No Rivalry they say... yea right. Delusional? It's the husker fans.
Don't tell me husker fan's are classy. BS! I've experience it first hand, before the Buffs started beating them! I agree anything you got in Colorado you earned!

You seem to be trying to convice not only your self but the Husker fans that there is a rivalry. Just because McCartney invented one doesn't make it so. You can't dispute the record therefore you resort to name calling. Typical. As for the worst fans, that was evident on national TV last year. You can check Big 12 schools' website and see who the worst fans are. Must be the alcohol and the altitude, it can't be of course be anything else.

CU's student section antics were dispicable, but don't for a second think that Husker fan's are above it all. I was in Lincoln once for a game. Was called names, other various profanities, beer thrown on me, and heard women who were with us refered to as (the c word). So shut your trap about having classy fans!

WE'RE BACK!!! let us take a closer look at that ridiculous statement. answer these my overrrated red boneheads.... beat KU at home barely, no heisman candidate, no top 10, can't beat UT or OU, not beaten a top 10 team since when???, last time in a BCS game??? here's one though, back to the big 12 title game, YEAH!!!!!!!!! it only took how many years??? remember what carson palmer said??? i thought back would mean national discussion about how the great NU could play for a nat title if florida or USC loses, no where close to that discussion, huh? trik plays might keep you in the game v UT but won't get closer to the top. say hi to the NU ladies volleyballteam errrrrr german wrestling team and balco sponsors, did they enjoy their azzkikn in boulder???? all those red dressed counrty folk making a mass exodus outta boulder in them purdy tractors, kinda reminded me of a nov day in 2001. ever since 2001 husker nation has been angry at us for destroying erin crouch and ol frankie, cheers mate!!! that game caused em to change their whole football mentalilty and all they have to show for it since is 30-3, beating michigan in who cares bowl and finally getting back to 12 title game. until yall win a "meaningful game" shut up and keep watching "dancing with wolves". talk about class, check NU's team info on MSN and read feedback predicting score of CU v NU. some upstanding nebraska farmer put nu33 CU 3 sal 6' i guess that means 6 feet under. great stuff, bout funny as taking flying lessons from you know who. HAWK is right the worse day colorado is better than anyday in nebraska. much better dead anyday than red!!!! keep talking about those 5 fraud nat titles, cuz another one aint coming no time soon. cant wait to see cally the clown give another "i've had it up to here" when the buffs winning on friday. i agree with hawk take the red outta neb on the schedule, they cannot be our rival when they only play for the north title every 5-6 years. be a real fan tommy boy and don't just run your weak, very weak, smack after wins only.. that's lil kid stuff that csu lam fans like to do and then suck the rest of the year. and as we get closer to "HAWK" ball without GB's players this is NU's only year to win the north cuz we takin back by force next year. CU on friday wathcing bjax run all over those sissy pinkshirts... BUFFS 27 bugeaters 10 P.S.--- stop bashing us and our great state and watch the 2001 video of CU V UT big 12 title game, you chumps might learn something, but i doubt it..

Dr. Tom, aka Buffwinkle, #1 horn fan and some other sooner alias I dont remember right now spends the entire day, all season long, trash talking a 2-9 team. Desperate attempt for attention? but certainly no rivalry in their eyes!!!If there aint no rivalry why do they leave no time for anything else? Logic says he is no more a Husker fan than an anti Buff fan. His thinly disguised hate for Hawkins and back handed compliments to Barnett reveal his agenda.

Hey buffsin2006. I believe that the all time record for the Nebraska-Colorado series is 45-17-2,Nebraska. This includes the Devaney/Osbrone era. Why don't you get your facts right b/f you shoot off your mouth. Oh, by the way, who is one of only four programs in all of college football to have 800 or more wins? Oh, that would be us, NOT COLORADO. What is your record anyways? Besides, you didn't win a national championship, you shared one. Say hello to Montana State for me. Which by the way lost to Chadron State the next week. Congrats on losing to a Division I-AA program.

oh yeah, so the series not including devaney or osborne is 14-13-1 w/o Friday's game? What do you have to show for during this time? So what you beat us at Boulder in 2001. So what you won the North 4 times. You still can't be compared to us in the same sentence. Your all time record is 652-411-36. Let us know when you get to 800 because we will be well over a thousand. We still went to the National Title game after the collapse in Boulder. Even though we lost to Miami, we were still there. You guys lost to Oregon. So you really didn't do anything spectacular.

it's pretty sad and pathetic that all busker fans can do these days is bash us. i guess when you haven't beaten a top 10 team since 1997, no BCS games lately, no heisman candidates and can't beat UT or OU since when?????? okay let's pick on colorado. you should be ashamed running such weak garbage here. hey by the way did you clowns wear those "RESTORE THE ORDER" shirts during that nailbiter game v kansas??? what a joke. stop acting like csu lam fans and start winning games that actually prove the stupid saying "WE ARE BACK". until then you just sound like sorry losers still angry about 2001 when bobby pesavento and crew destroyed your so called "storied" program. i think they just found erin crouch's left hand under the 40 yard line at folsom and have another round on me frankie boy!!!! just a lil advice bugeaters...when you beat nicholls, troy and la tech and get bombed by usc you get laughed at worse than us losing to montana st. that's how you dummies won those other "fraud" titles but that sham won't work these days, so stop pretending......NU FOOTBALL IS STILL FLATLINED FROM 2001. by the way buffsoulja gonna list the teams we played in 1990 to win our legit title v those fakeazz husker titles.. compare the teams and you decide who earned theirs. when CU is the best team you beat, it is impressive but not national title worthy. BELIEVE BUFF FANS-- WE WILL WIN ON FRIDAY AND THEN CALLY THE CLOWN CAN WATCH A REAL COACH, "HAWK", TALK MORE TRASH ON VIDEO ABOUT HOW GOD AWFUL IT IS IN NEBRASKA. THAT WAS THE BEST COMMENT I EVER HEARD, AND ALSO VERY TRUE... by the way the NU ladies vollyball team, aka BALCO BEASTS, are taking over for the ralphie handlers. they are much stronger and it only takes 2 of them to control ol ralphie. kinda like a couple yeti walking a chow....must be feeding them girls that "special" corn. TENNESSEE, STANFORD, ILLINOIS, NOTRE DAME, OKLAHOMA, NEBRASKA #2 27-12 IN LINCOLN, TEXAS, WASHINGTON, AND THE YEAR BEFORE WE WAS UNDEFEATED. AND SAVE THE 5TH DOWN CRYBABY STUFF. NOW ACT EDUCATED AND COMPARE TO THE WEAK NU TITLE SCHEDULES. DO SOME HOMEWORK AND SEE HOW MANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED TEAMS WERE RANKED. ONE LEGIT TITLE IS BETTER THAN 5 PHONY ONES. NOW SHOW ME SOMETHING AND BEAT OU OR UT IN KANSAS CITY OR SHUT UP ALREADY. WHEN YOU VISIT A "HOME" THAT HAS A NATIONAL TITLE, HEISMAN TROPHY, AND BIG 12 TITLE SHOW SOME RESPECT OR ESCORTED OUT BY MY FRIEND RAPLHIE. Remember the game last year? Yeah, that's what happens when a team wants it more than your sorry ass!! Keep your mouth shut until you've accomplished something!!
Every school has it's rif-raf, I guess your part of Nebraska's huh? Arrogant SOB!! Good Luck tomorrow.....get confident, get cocky---> it will be fun rubbing your sick face right in it!

By the way, it's funny how you mentioned the fact that we beat in 2001 in Boulder, but you fail to remember that we have beat you two straight in freakin Lincoln. Your days of 800 win football are over my friend.
Fact is, I think Hawkins is a better coach...the recruiting is already better on this side, we'll be there, right with you again (if Callahan can hold up) atop the North. I believe that Hawkins will have this into a top 10 program within 3 years. You watch....you can say all you want right now, I can see it. Nebraska fans still aren't sold on Callahan...you don't know where this thing is going with him. He's basically one bad loss (tomorrow) from being ousted.

Actually, I can see Nebraska losing it's final three games. I can see a loss tomorrow, probably not but, you never know where this game might go. Also, I don't think Nebraska will beat Texas, and then, depending on who they play in a bowl game, an Outback or Holiday bowl, your going against a quality SEC/Pac-10 opponent...probably Tennessee or Oregon/California. I'm sorry but I don't see a win there either. You need to start beating more than just the Big 12 North and mid-majors to accomplish something. Sure you guy's pulled one out at A&M, good for you, but can you really say that A&M is playing their best ball right now (absolutely not, especially coming off the game against OU and the heartbreak)! Stop dropping close ones at home (TTU in 05' & Texas this year), stop getting crushed in betweener games against OSU (this year), Mizzou and KU last year, and then stop looking at those two wins over CU and Michigan as crowning moments (I thnk we all know that neither team was all that great), besides you almost lost to Michigan anyway, and then (after all that is accomplished) maybe you can come on here and say a few words, getting everyone all shook up. Until then, shut your mouths!! Thanks-appreciate it!

On 800 wins. Let's see. Take 3 wins a year against high schools/community colleges and multiply it by say just 50 years and you have 150 wins that are just a bunch of nonsense. Purchased victories. That is 650 wins at best for you Phonies. ( Phuskers - Fuskers ). That winningnest program you boast to be is a joke. Stats can only give an initial glimpse of things, when you look under the hood some, you get the true picture - you aren't an 800 win program, but a manuctured sham. The only thing is you guys are so ignorant and self deluded you can't even see it for what it is like the rest of the nation does. It's really a pathetic joke how you schedule these gimme wins against joke opponents and so you can boast about them as wins. Yeah, that's Husker fans alright. Living in their overblown sense of self importance padded with crap like this.
Buff fans think you are silly. It doesn't really matter what the scores and records are as far as which is better and will always be. Being a Buff will always be better than being a stuffy farmer redneck from a rural state with some ridiculous self image of self importance based upon their college football team. We know that this is all you got. It would be cute and tolerable, but you're unfriendliness and pompousness from what is actually inflated success is just a joke to us, and typically an unenjoyable one. That's why we usually don't like you. Those gaudy red outfits only make it worse. What a fashion disaster! Bad attitude, bad attire, and alot of nonsense = NU Football and Fandom.
That being said, Good Luck and Go Buffs! Shuck the self deluded corn!

CU's defense actually holds up against the run, forcing Taylor to try and make some plays against what has been a pretty stingy defense backfield. CU keeps good pressure on him (like they have all season), creating some havoc and turnovers, Abraham Wright is in Taylor's face throughout the day....Taylor will make some plays but finds out quickly that CU's defense is one of the quickest he's (this is true, there very fast) seen....Nebraska scores 20 points, Taylor throws for 2 touchdowns and 2 Int's. The most important stat of the day though is that NU does not score a rushing touchdown. They have several attempts but fail, coming up short and settling for 2 field goals in stead.
Jackson continues to make some strides in the CU passing game, and remains very elusive while running around the Neb. defense for key-crucial yards. He runs for one touchdown (off turnover early on), and throws a strike later in the game to Riar Geer. However, it's Mell Holliday, not Hugh Charles, who steals the show with his best game as a Buff, while also playing his final game in his home state. Holliday rushes for just slightly above 100 yards, has one score (again, early on from a turnover) but, the biggest moment of the game is when Holliday finally breaks free for a crucial touchdown run that shocks the Corn, sending CU to a 28-20 victory in Lincoln, the Buffs third in a row @ Nebraska.
Holliday and Def. End Abraham Wright, who comes up with 2 big sacks in the game, one that creates a fumble early on to give the Buffs their first score, are both named players of the game.
It's fun to play isn't it. Face it, you just never know!

I've been a fan of college football for most of my life. I grew up watching the NU vs OU games every year. Just recently CU and NU has become an exciting matchup.
It's sort of sad to see all the negativity spewing out from both sides.
I mean really, it's a football game. How much anger can that really instir? Colorado acts like NU was Pakistan and stole it's Kashmir land.
I've never lived in Colorado, but I have been there on vacation. It's beautiful. I have lived in Nebraska and met some of the most genuine people I ever met in my life time. They do love their football, but not because there is nothing to do and farms to plow, but because they feel like part of a community. Something dating far back before our time.
We can hash out scores all day long. That game of 62 to 36 was pretty bad. But so is going to the Big 12 Championship game and posting 3 points, TWICE. Going to the Big 12 Champ game is not enough, playing the game and actually having a chance to win it is pretty important. 3 points?
Were these hockey games?
Any way, none of that matters. None of the mud-slinging matters. It's just a FOOTBALL game. Get a life, and let's just hope it's a close, exciting game. Isn't that what makes college football so great in the 1st place?
Happy Thanksgiving....

Thanks for the lengthy lessons on Ebonics, man..I feel ya.
And jahbrahakala: interesting points..well thought out.
We can play if you really want to be pretend rivals..if only for this week..But I thought CSU was your main rival.
Let's not make them jealous!
I usually pull for the Buffs, even with "classy fans" like some of the ones I've read here.
I'll try not to let you influence my love for a big8 little brother..Can't wait 'till you get big enough to play with our friends.

Here's what Webster says about "Rivalry":
1 a : one of two or more striving to reach or obtain something that only one can possess b : one striving for competitive advantage
2 : one that EQUALS another in desired qualities
17-45-2 based on this definition does not constitute a rivalry. It constitutes ass-whipping on a quite regular basis. Now, that AW has gone the other way, once or twice. 62-36 was not pleasant. I think most of my Red Friends would agree that despite the fact that we don't play them every year, our BIGGEST and most RESPECTED rival IS Oklahoma. We are 47-53 V OU. That sounds alot closer. Although we've had our share of negative tiffs with them, we both respect each other. The problem with this OTHER regular opponent is they fail to acknowledge and respect superiority. Once they win the next 29 match-ups, THEN they can turn the tables. Until then, tilt nipple and bow down to YOUR king, black and gold mold.

Yeah but RedRover, there's only one problem with your (and the rest of Nebraska's argument), the 17-45 record is a thing of the past. CU has suddenly won 3 of the last 5, including 4 of 5 Big 12 North titles coming into this season.
As a matter of fact, since 1998, this series has been very good. CU was awful close, accepting a couple of heartbreaking losses but, I hardly feel that any of those were ass-whippings. It's both teams who have ass-whipped eachother twice (CU in 01' & NU 04'). So shut up!! You make no sense, your glory days are long gone and CU is now your rivalry....you only play OU twice every 4 years so give it up. Plus, as much as you say OU is your main rival, you (YES YOU!!) haven't been on the same page with OU in 7 years.
Thank you!!

Good job Nebraska!! 4th and 39?1? Shoot, you had em accross mid field for crying out loud, Nice Defense LOL!
As I told you above, CU will want it more....and Jackson will hook up with Geer for a touchdown on the day. Check off number one!
7-7 - Thank You!

WARED, IS 62-36 NOT AN ASSWHOOPING? If you read closely (DICK!!!!!) you'll notice that I gave credit to the 2 blowout wins by both teams over the past 5 years. Read and pay attention.
By the way, it's funny how on my prediciton was in the first place....Holliday (as quoted above) just broke a long run that could prove decisive.
14-14 -Thank You!
By the way...WARED!!! I GOTTA ASK YOU THIS, DID NEBRASKA KEEP IT CLASSY ON THIS SITE LAST YEAR AFTER THEIR WIN.........NOPE- not even close!! Funny how you want total respect and class when things aren't in your favor (potentially losing) but your fans are certainly ok to come in here and run their mouths after a big win against us?!?!?
Shut your mouth...quit trying to act all classy when your fans are just as responsible as ours.

by the way 30-14!! 30-3=27 pt margin!! 62-36=26 pt margin!! I was only suggesting that you had the year wrong in your post!! CU beat the Huskers in 04!! 05 was 30-3! Have a great holiday weekend!!

I'm a husker fan living in the beautiful state of Colorado, and I know that ALL teams unfortunatly have their idiot fans (yes, including Husker fans). Having also lived in Omaha, I can verify that. It's too bad that it gets personal. I love the rivalry games, but sometimes it get pretty ridiculous. Everyone needs to show some class in this series win or lose.

Hey..Good game Colorado..
I like your chances next year.
I just wish you played a preseason schedule to get over your slow (season) starts.
Wish you were Bowling this year.
Once you get to use more of Hawkin's playbook you will be dangerous.

LongmontNU---> That's the nature of the beast pal....live with it or quit posting. I happened to grow up in Baton Rouge, LA....if you think this get's bad....you should see the entire SEC conference, how about the OU-Texas matchup or the OU-Ok. State game, just for an example elsewhere. Trust me, it truly get's much worse.

once again, buffalo fans and players have reminded us and the nation of how nasty they are. Any team can win or lose on any given day-it's how you do it that counts and how your fans react that counts. Colorado continues to show the nation that they still lack class and the Huskers continue to win with pride and class but still get no respect from the voters. Husker nation is and will always be proud of our teams-win or lose. We will continue to show other teams respect. Our players will not deliberately try to hurt players just to try and help themselves win. Hopefully your new coach can instill some class, respect, and pride in the team and the fans. Then, maybe, the rivalry will truly be renewed and fun to watch. GO BIG RED!! I know NU will represent the Big 12 North with class and dignity!

Hi, I remember Oklahoma as our rival, not Nebraska.
They (Oklahoma?) were humble fan's. I don't think we are rivals. We just don't like Nebraska. (or learnin' for that matter).
They are "plain jane nazis" (World War Two reference)???. Nebraska players couldn't get into C.U.! (And I can barely spell C.U.).
C.U.is rated 11th in world in college academics!
I didn't like Osborne Chewing that gum. (What a stiff)!
I liked Devaney and Bobby Reynolds. Callahan has a pretty mouth. He keeps opening his mouth wide! Puts his glasses on and off!
And being an aspiring Child Beauty Pageant contestant, I must say,"What awful uniforms"!
C.U. had better get football programs next year. By then I'll hopefully be able to read.
TheY are the only team without programs in the country..Maybe even the whole Universe!
Pretty please, don't let Robinson play next year!.....stay..Sit....Good Dog....
