The surging Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team will get to play one final game at the CU Events Center.

CU's second-round matchup in the NIT was finalized Wednesday evening, and the Buffs will get to enjoy the comforts of home one last time thanks to Norfolk State. The eighth-seeded Spartans pulled off the biggest upset of the NIT so far by knocking off top-seeded Alabama in overtime, posting an 80-79 road win.

The fourth-seeded Buffs will host Norfolk State Monday night at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Norfolk State didn't make it easy, missing a point-blank putback chance at the regulation buzzer and then, while holding a one-point lead, botching an inbounds play under the Alabama basket that gave the Crimson Tide one final chance with 4.7 seconds remaining in overtime. Alabama missed, giving a last home game to a Buffs team that is 14-2 at the CU Events Center.

The winner between the Buffs and Norfolk State will play on the road against either second-seeded Texas or third-seeded Xavier in the quarterfinals on March 26 or 27.

CU and Norfolk State have met just once more than 21 years ago, with the Buffs winning at home on Nov. 27, 1997.
