The Colorado men's basketball team can start making its travel plans.

On Monday, the Pac-12 Conference announced its weekly pairings for the 2018-19 league schedule. While specific dates and tipoff times typically are not released until early or mid-September, the Buffaloes know which weekends they will be on the road and which will feature league showdowns at the CU Events Center.

The league schedule opens the weekend of Jan. 2 with a trip through Arizona, marking the fourth consecutive year in which the Buffs open Pac-12 play on the road. The following weekend the Buffs host their first league series with a visit from the Washington schools.

While there have been discussions regarding a potential change to the league schedule for the 2019-20 season — including increasing the league slate to 20 games, or a shift to a tiered schedule intended to ramp up the league's RPI merits — the 2018-19 schedule will retain its familiar look. The Buffs will play 18 Pac-12 games with just one set of games against the Oregon schools (at home Jan. 30-Feb. 3) and the northern California schools (on the road Jan. 23-27).

Following the opening two weekends the Buffs will take their one-game trip to Utah followed by the home sets against the Oregon schools, with the Oregon Ducks figuring to be the highest-ranked team to visit the CU Events Center in 2018-19. CU then visits the Los Angeles schools (Feb. 6-10) before hosting the Arizona schools.

CU visits Washington (Feb. 20-24) before completing the regular season with three consecutive home games — hosting Utah between Feb. 27 and March 3 before hosting USC and UCLA on the final weekend of the regular season March 6-9.

While the program still is finalizing its nonconference schedule, the majority of the pairings for the entire 2018-19 have been completed. The Buffs will host Colorado State in the resumption of the intrastate rivalry, and CU also will play road dates against New Mexico, San Diego, and Air Force. Additionally, the Buffs will open the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii on Dec. 22 against Indiana State, with a contest the following day against either UNLV or Hawaii. CU will play a third game in the tournament against either Rhode Island, Bucknell, Charlotte, or TCU.

All 108 Pac-12 Conference games throughout the 2018-19 season will be televised by ESPN, CBS, FOX/FS1, or the Pac-12 Network.
