• The first Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week award went to Arizona's Allonzo Trier, who is an early candidate for national player of the year considerations. The junior guard topped 30 points in each of the first two games for the third-ranked Wildcats, scoring 32 in an opening win against Northern Arizona and adding 30 in a rout of Maryland-Baltimore County. Trier went 20-for-31 from the field with a 7-for-14 mark on 3-pointers, adding a total of nine rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

• Former Colorado player Tre'Shaun Fletcher got the starting assignment in his first game at the University of Toledo, a 98-87 win against St. Joseph's. Fletcher, who sat out last season per NCAA transfer rules after leaving CU, shot just 2-for-9 from the field but went 8-for-10 at the free throw line before finishing with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five turnovers in 34 minutes.

• Former Colorado assistant Jean Prioleau picked up a win in his first game as a head coach at San Jose State University, a 97-45 win Friday against Antelope Valley. On Sunday the Spartans suffered an 81-64 defeat against San Diego, which visits CU on Dec. 12.
