The University of Colorado announced its nonconference schedule for men's basketball, a ledger highlighted by a visit from Xavier on Dec. 7.

The Buffaloes will begin their 116th season of action on Nov. 11 at home against Sacramento State, a club that went 14-17 last year and will play the Buffs for the first time ever. CU continues an opening three-game homestand with a pair of games in the Legends Classic against two clubs among a group that includes Bryant, Seattle, Eastern Washington, and Louisiana-Monroe. Those games will be played on dates yet to be determined between Nov. 13 and Nov. 19.

CU will take its first road trip to Brooklyn the week of Thanksgiving to play its final two games in the Legends Classic in a pool that also includes Northwestern, Texas, and Notre Dame, which has reached the Elite 8 the past two seasons. The Buffs will play on Monday Nov. 21 and complete the tournament on Nov. 22 at the Barclays Center.

The Buffs return home to face Wofford on Nov. 27 and state rival Colorado State on Nov. 30.

After a visit to Portland on Dec. 3, Xavier comes to the Coors Events Center on Wednesday Dec. 7. The Musketeers were ranked in the top 10 for much of the 2015-16 season, and the game will mark just the second meeting between the programs.

CU completes its nonconference slate with a run of four games that begins at Brigham Young on Dec. 10. The Buffs then host Division II Fort Hays State on Dec. 17 and visit Air Force on Dec. 19. CU finishes the nonconference schedule at home against Eastern Washington on Dec. 22.

Overall, the 13-game nonconference schedule includes eight home games, three true road games, and two games on a neutral floor. All tipoff times and television information will be announced at a later date.
