Former University of Colorado men's basketball players Spencer Dinwiddie and Carlon Brown are trying to make it in the NBA, but their stories are very different.

Dinwiddie left the Buffs this spring with a season of eligibility remaining and while still recovering from a torn ACL. Brown played just one year for the Buffs, his final season of eligibility, but left after helping CU win the Pac-12 Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament game victory.

Despite going out on a high note in Boulder, Brown has bounced around the NBA D-League and played overseas in Israel. Now the guard is on the Denver Nuggets' summer league roster and set to start play in Las Vegas on Saturday. Nuggets.com writer Aaron Lopez shares the lessons Brown learned in Israel.
Meanwhile, Dinwiddie was drafted in the second round by the Detroit Pistons last month. According to Vincent Goodwill of The Detroit News, the former CU star is ready to accept his role on the shelf as a rookie, but has big plans for the future.
