Former Providence guard Josh Fortune will join the University of Colorado men's basketball team, according to CBSSports.com. Fortune's mother Angela confirmed the move to the website.

Fortune, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard that averaged 8.4 points a game last season, will have to sit out next season per NCAA rules. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

According to CBSSports.com, Fortune chose Tad Boyle's Buffs over LSU and Valparaiso.

Fortune hit 35 percent of his 3-pointers last season, averaged 33 minutes per game and dished out 2.1 assists per contest.

The addition of Fortune leaves Boyle with just one scholarship to offer for the 2015 class unless someone else leaves the program.
