Former University of Colorado standout Sarah Brown has been named to the U.S. Lacrosse Women's National Team roster for the Team USA Fall Classic on Oct. 6.
U.S. Head Coach Jenny Levy announced the 27-player roster on Tuesday afternoon. "Our coaching staff is excited for our first training camp and to coach this talented group of athletes," Levy said. "By 2021, our goal is to work with at least 80 players to build a hardworking, exciting and cohesive team to represent the USWNT in the next World Cup.
"We are using a new process to identify our team and although change can create uncertainty, I am confident that the process will excite and energize elite players who want the opportunity to demonstrate excellence, skill, creativity and team play at the highest level."
Brown, a defender from Boulder, is one of eight newcomers to the team who graduated this past spring. She joins Kasey Behr, Kristen Gaudian, Kelly Glatthorn, Courtney Murphy, Katie O'Donnell, Kylie Ohlmiller and Shayna Pirreca.
