Junior quarterback Connor Wood, who came into camp atop the depth chart, continues to play well in practice.
"Connor had a good day again today," Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre said Friday. "He's doing well. We're getting him a tremendous amount of reps, along with all our other quarterbacks. I feel like the offense is making some plays and doing some things. They're putting a lot of pressure on our defense."
Wood, who has been named a team captain, is battling with three other quarterbacks -- sophomores Stevie Joe Dorman and Jordan Gehrke and freshman Sefo Liufau -- for the starting job.
Of the four, Wood is the only one that has played in a game at CU. He completed 21 of 42 passes for 265 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions as a reserve last season.
