We expected this, of course. With the return of Paul Richardson from injury and the addition of Jeff Thomas and other freshmen, we knew the Buffs would have more speed and depth than they did last year. But to see it on the field, it was a noticeable difference.
"Another year of experience for everyone and then obviously having P-Rich back is a big help," junior Tyler McCulloch said. "As a whole, there's a big difference out of the receiver group."
The group made some good plays on the first day and there is good upside to the entire crew.
"We're getting there. We're excited," receivers coach Troy Walters said. "The sky is the limit. I think we can go as far as we work. The guys are willing to work, they're willing to get out there early, they're willing to stay late. They're accountable. If they drop a ball, they're doing pushups.
"I think they're hungry, I think they want to show the country that we're a better receiving crew than a lot of people think."
