Future University of Colorado men's basketball player Dominique Collier was named honorable mention on the MaxPreps 2013-14 boys basketball All-American team Sunday.

Collier, who led Denver East to the Class 5A state title in Boulder last month, averaged 23.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.5 steals for the Angels this season.

When he hits the Boulder campus this summer, the guard won't be the only Buff to have earned the All-American honor as a Colorado prep standout. His future teammate, Josh Scott, earned the award in 2012 while playing at Lewis-Palmer and former Buff Levi Knutson was honored in 2007 while at Arapahoe High School.

The only other Colorado high school player to make the list is Matt Bouldin in 2006. Bouldin played at ThunderRidge before moving on to Gonzaga.
