Colorado has released its football schedule for 2019, and it includes a pair of old rivals and three of the Pac-12's top teams coming to Boulder.

CU's nonconference schedule and specific opponents in Pac-12 play have been known for a while, but Tuesday's announcement provided dates for each game next season. Kickoff times will be released at a later date.

The Buffs (5-7, 2-7 Pac-12 this year) will open the season, as usual, against in-state rival Colorado State on Aug. 30 at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

On Sept. 7, former Big 12 rival Nebraska will make its first appearance at Folsom Field since 2009. The Buffs and Cornhuskers renewed the rivalry this year, with CU's 33-28 win in Lincoln, Neb.

The following week, on Sept. 14, the Buffs will host Air Force, renewing a rivalry that has been dormant since 1974. The Falcons will make their first appearance in Boulder since 1973.

In Pac-12 play, Arizona, Southern California, Stanford and defending conference champion Washington will visit Folsom Field.

"This is one of our most attractive home schedules in recent memory," CU athletic director Rick George said in a press release. "Opening with resumed rivalries against Nebraska and Air Force, closing with defending Pac-12 champion Washington with those three sandwiched around Arizona, USC and Stanford. It makes for one exciting season ticket at Folsom Field."

CU will take Pac-12 road trips to Arizona State, Oregon, Washington State, UCLA and Utah.
