Colorado true freshman Sebastian Olver has left the team and "returned home to Australia due to family reasons," according to

A native of Brisbane, Australia, Olver moved to the United States and played two seasons at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, Calif., before signing with the Buffs.

Expected to compete at tight end, and possibly at defensive end, Olver arrived in Boulder just last week after a long process of obtaining his student visa.

Olver's departure leaves the Buffs with just 83 scholarship players, two below the NCAA limit. The other scholarship was vacated when linebacker NJ Falo was dismissed from the squad just before camp for violating team rules.

The Buffs are also currently without sophomore cornerback Anthony Julmisse, who was arrested last week and is currently suspended from team activities.
