Defensive back Lavon Wallace has decided to join the Buffaloes.
On Saturday, the three-star prospect from California made his commitment announcement on Twitter, writing: "Now it's time to make my family proud and start my legacy. But the time has come. I'm officially committed to.... THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO."
Rated three stars by Rivals.com and Scout.com, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Wallace can play cornerback and safety and is built a bit like recently graduated CU cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, who is now with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers.
Wallace, who plays at Buhach Colony High School in Atwater, Calif., was on CU's campus visiting the Buffs on Saturday.
Last season, he had two interceptions on defense, caught 10 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns on offense and also returns punts and kickoffs.
Wallace is the 16th player to commit to CU for the 2018 recruiting class and the fourth defensive back.
