Another day, another commitment for the Colorado football team.

On Tuesday, defensive end/tight end Sebastian Olver, from Marin Catholic High School in Larkspur, Calif., announced that he has verbally committed to join CU's 2017 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Olver has a three-star rating by He has been recruited by several other schools, including Fresno State, Hawaii and Iowa State. After participating in a CU camp on June 11 in Boulder, Olver said he also planned to visit Indiana, Purdue and Washington State.

He becomes the 12th player to commit to CU for the 2017 class, including the eighth in the past two weeks and the fifth in the past week.

Olver has played just one year of football. A native of Brisbane, Australia, Olver grew up playing Australian rules football. He moved to the United States a year ago and immediately fell in love with the American game.

Olver worked exclusively at tight end during CU's camp earlier this month, but said he isn't sure if he'd play offense or defense in college.

"I think they want to see how I develop as a player," he said after that camp.
