The Buffaloes are adding another quarterback to the 2014 recruiting class as St. Francis High School (La Canada, Calif.) signal-caller Ty Gangi will reportedly join the Colorado football program as a preferred walk-on, the Los Angeles Times' Eric Sondheimer tweeted today.
Gangi was an all-CIF selection after a senior season where he threw for 2,882 yards with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions. He carried the ball 117 times for 421 yards and 12 scores for the 10-3 Golden Knights.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Southern California prospect is rated as a two-star by the Scout recruiting network and was named the Pasadena Star-News' Player of the Year for 2013.
"Gangi didn't play much his junior season because he was behind an incumbent starter and was injured, and that may have cost him a bit in the recruiting process," the Star-News' Adam Tolegian reports.
