Former University of Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn is expected to named athletic director at the University of Cincinnati later today, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Bohn was fired from his post at CU in May after eight years serving the school here in his hometown. University officials were unhappy with Bohn's financial management of the department and the ongoing struggles of the football program.

Bohn will inherit an athletic department at Cincinnati in much better overall shape than what he took over at CU in 2005. The Cincinnati football program has won at least nine games in each of the past three seasons and the men's basketball program is ranked No. 7 in the nation in this week's Associate Press poll at 21-2.

We'll have more on this developing story throughout the day.
