The Big 12 is hurting, too. It was just hard to tell on Thursday as conference leaders concluded their spring meetings at The Broadmoor.

The conference announced that it would be distributing a record $130 million to its member institutions for the 2008-09 fiscal year (the previous record set last year was $113.5 million).

Steve Bosley has come up with a number of brilliant ideas over the years that have made the Bolder Boulder such a special event for the hundreds of thousands of people who have participated over the years.

The race co-founder, however, won't take credit for moving the finish line to Folsom Field.

"That was actually Eddie Crowder's idea," Bosley said during a recent interview with the Camera.
