CU was selected by the organizing committee as one of several sites to host first and second-round games. The Coors Events Center will host four teams from March 23-26, with exact dates to be determined in June.
It will mark the first time since 2003 that the Coors Events Center will host part of the tournament. Denver's Pepsi Center will host the Women's Final Four this year, on April 1 and 3.
During the 2013 tournament, there will be 16 schools hosting first and second round games. In addition to CU, sites will be: Baton Rouge, La. (LSU), College Park, Md. (Maryland), College Station, Texas (Texas A&M), Columbus, Ohio (Ohio State), Durham, N.C. (Duke), Iowa City, Iowa (Iowa), Knoxville, Tenn. (Tennessee), Louisville, Ky. (Louisville), Lubbock, Texas (Texas Tech), Newark, Del. (Delaware), Queens, N.Y. (St. John's), Spokane, Wash. (Gonzaga), Stanford, Calif. (Stanford), Storrs, Conn. (Connecticut) and Waco Texas (Baylor).
