Several University of Colorado track and field athletes shined Saturday at the Potts Invitational. Rajon O'Quinn paced CU as the top performer of the day placing top-two in both her events.

O'Quinn put together a very strong opening 2018 indoor performance. In the 200 meters, she crossed the finish line in 24.54 seconds to win the event title. Teammates Eriana Henderson (24.78) and Tashay Brown (25.08) also placed second and fourth respectively in the event. O'Quinn went on to finish second in the 400 coming in behind Unattached CU runner Alexandria Peters. Rajon's time of 55.82 is only .4 off her PR of 55.41 from the CU Open last year.

The Buffs started the day off with the 60 meter hurdles where Alexander Billing advanced to the finals heat with a time of 8.12. In finals, Billings bolted out of the blocks and didn't stop. The junior finished strong from lane one to win the event title with a time of 8.04. This time marks his best time in the event.

Valerie Constien won the 3,000 meters event clocking a 10:02.66 time. The last time Constien won an event was last season in the mile at the Colorado open. Also in the 3,000 meters teammate Tayler Tuttle who finished second (10:19.76) and Lindsey Koch placed fourth (10:27.92).

In the 800 meters, Justice Ramos crossed the finish line in 1:55.49 to finish third while teammate and brother Josh Ramos finished right behind in fourth with a time of 1:56.71. Justice is a junior for the Buffs and Josh joined the squad this season as a freshman. On the women's side, Karina and Elissa Mann went head to head in the 800. Karina finished second with a time of 2:11.15 and Elissa crossed the finish line right behind in third with a time of 2:13.96.
