Colorado fell to 6-15 overall with the loss (1-11 Big 12) while Oklahoma improved to 14-7, 7-5.
"I really felt like we missed a big opportunity to show the progress we have made so far this season, especially against a strong defensive team like Oklahoma," head coach Liz Kritza said. "We have been up and down throughout the season, as can be expected from a young and inexperienced team, but we are making progress in many areas. Unfortunately they don`t directly show in the final result or even point totals sometimes."
Rosie Steinhaus led the Buffs with nine kills and Kerra Schroeder recorded eight kills. Nikki Kinzer hit a team-best .429 with three kills on seven errorless attacks and Schylur Edelman hit .333 (six kills, one error, 15 attacks). CU hit .090 as a team in the effort with 30 kills and 20 errors on 111 attacks.
Schroeder led CU with nine digs. Edelman, Steinhaus and Kaitlyn Burkett each recorded eight digs as well.
The Buffs return home Saturday for a 4 p.m. match with Iowa State. Fans with a ticket from that day`s CU-Missouri football game, or fans wearing a Halloween costume will be given free admission.
