It`s become the chorus to her career: Jenny Barringer earns another honor.

The University of Colorado distance running ace was named one of three finalists for the inaugural The Bowerman award.

The Bowerman will recognize the most outstanding women`s track and field athlete, and will be administered by the nation`s coaches.

The award is named for track and field pioneer Bill Bowerman.

Texas` Destinee Hooker and Texas A&M`s Porscha Lucas are the other two finalists.

Barringer, who earlier in the week was named a finalist for the USATF Jesse Owens Athlete of the Year, set six NCAA records in 2009 and won her second USATF steeplechase title in June.
