The Brooklyn Nets announced they reached an agreement Thursday on a contract extension with former CU point guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the extension is for three years and $34 million and has a player option for the third season.

Dinwiddie has averaged 11.5 points, 5.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds across 168 appearances for the Nets over the past two-plus seasons.

The Los Angeles native played at the University of Colorado from 2011-2014. He was first team All-Pac-12 in 2013.

Dinwiddie was drafted with the 38th pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons.
