Apparently plenty of soccer folks across the nation believe Taylor Kornieck is in line for a big season with the Colorado women's soccer team.

The Buffaloes' junior midfielder was named a third-team preseason All-American by Top Drawer Soccer on Tuesday. Kornieck also was named to the Hermann Trophy watch list earlier this month, an honor given to the nation's top player at the end of the season.

Kornieck has started all 44 games during her CU career and enters the 2018 season with 18 goals and eight assists. The native of Henderson, Nev., already ranks seventh all-time at CU in goals, is tied for seventh in points (44), and also is tied for fourth in game-winning goals (10).

Kornieck was the Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Year in 2016 while also earning first team all-league honors. She was a second team All-Pac-12 honoree last year. She has made appearances with the U.S. Women's National team at the U-18, U-19, and U-20 levels.

Kornieck and the Buffs open the season at 6:30 p.m. Thursday night at Air Force and hosts Colorado State in the home opener at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
