Head coach Jesse Mahoney on Friday announced the nonconference schedule for his Buffaloes for the 2018 season.

Mahoney begins his third season at the helm by taking CU to the Rumble in the Rockies at the University of Wyoming, where the Buffs will Oral Roberts and North Florida on Aug. 24, followed by a date against the host Cowgirls on Aug. 25. The Buffs will then visit Seattle for two games in the annual Pac-12/Big Ten showdown, facing Illinois on Aug. 31 and Iowa on Sept. 1

CU finally opens its home slate with the Buffs Invitational, hosting Georgia on Sept. 8 followed by matches North Carolina and Oklahoma on Sept. 9. The following week CU completes its nonconference schedule as the host of the Colorado Classic, with a date against Portland State on Sept. 14 and matches against Indiana State and Colorado State on Sept. 15.

The Pac-12 Conference schedule as well as the television schedule will be released later in June. The Buffs finished 24-10 in 2017 and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1997.

Signed

The Buffs made it official with a pair of new recruits earlier this week, signing Taylor deProsse and Zoe Neverdowski to national letters of intent. The duo joins a 2018 recruiting class that already included Jenna Ewert and Allie Moger.

Neverdowski is an outside hitter from Houston and deProsse is a defensive specialist/libero from Reno, Nevada. Both players will be hard pressed to crack the rotation this fall but could fill voids on the CU roster following the 2018 season. The Buffs' top two outside hitters this fall, Alexa Smith and Frankie Shebby will be seniors this fall, as will starting libero Gabby Carta-Samuels.
