After two Folsom Field dates against less-than stellar nonconference foes, the Colorado football team finally gets its chance at redemption against No. 6 Washington Saturday night in a rematch of last season's Pac-12 Conference championship game.

Yet the prime time showdown hardly is the only marquee event on campus this week.

In fact, CU athletics will host three big-time opponents on three consecutive days at three different venues this upcoming weekend. The run begins Friday afternoon as the CU soccer team, fresh off its 6-1 drubbing of the University of Denver, hosts UCLA Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Prentup Field. The Bruins have been the consensus No. 1 team in the nation for much of the season, though they may take a slight dip when this week's poll is released Tuesday after settling for a draw against Pepperdine.

After the Saturday night football battle, the scene will shift to the Coors Events Center on Sunday, where the CU volleyball team hosts defending national champion Stanford at noon. The Cardinal entered this past weekend ranked fourth in the country, though the Buffs also have to take care of business Friday night in a road date against No. 16 Utah. CU is coming off a stirring comeback win on the road against No. 22 Colorado State.

All in all, it should be an interesting weekend on campus.
