While the Colorado women's lacrosse team was able to advance to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship game for the first time, the Buffs dropped a 16-11 decision Sunday against USC. However, the loss didn't prevent CU from remaining in the top 10 of all three national polls released Monday.

CU (16-3) is ranked ninth in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll and is 10th in the IWLCA Coaches and Cascade/Inside Lacrosse Magazine polls.

Colorado is on the verge on making its first NCAA Tournament berth, with the 26-team field set to be announced on Sunday at 7 p.m. MDT on NCAA.com. All three of the Buffs' losses this season have occurred against top-10 teams — USC twice and Stony Brook.
