After recording a pair of convincing wins last weekend by a combined score of 42-11 to conclude the regular season, the Colorado lacrosse team moved up one spot to eighth in the latest Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media poll.

The Buffs, who are 15-2 overall and finished conference play with a 7-1 mark, remained ninth in the IWLCA Coaches and Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine polls.

CU has set a school record this season with 15 wins, topping its previous total of 13 wins from the 2016 season. The Buffs also set a record with 24 goals in the win against St. Mary's on Friday, breaking the former single-game mark of 23. CU took that game 24-5 before defeating California 18-6 on April 23. The win over Cal was the 50th career-win for CU coach Ann Elliott, as well as the 50th win in program history.

Colorado will return to California for the third straight weekend, this time for the 2017 MPSF Tournament in Los Angeles. The Buffs earned the No. 2 seed and will have a first-round bye before facing either third-seeded Stanford or sixth-seeded Cal on Friday at about 5 p.m. MDT.
