A streak-snapping loss at Stanford last week didn't deter the Colorado Buffaloes soccer team from continuing its winning ways.
It also didn't stop the Buffs from maintaining their position in the national polls.
On Tuesday, the Buffs landed at No. 22 for the second consecutive week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America top-25 poll. Although CU fell one win short of matching a program-record 11-game winning streak by losing last Thursday at No. 3 Stanford, the Buffs rebounded to post a thrilling 3-2 win in double overtime Sunday at No. 10 Cal on a goal by freshman Taylor Kornieck with two seconds remaining in the second extra session.
CU also is ranked No. 16 by Soccer America and No. 25 by Top Drawer Soccer. The Buffs sit at No. 33 in the RPI.
With three games remaining in the regular season, all at home, the Buffs own 21 points in the league standings and share the Pac-12 lead with Stanford and USC. CU hosts No. 9 UCLA at 3 p.m. Thursday at Prentup Field and host the fourth-ranked USC Trojans on Sunday at noon.
