For the first time all season, the Colorado Buffaloes volleyball team will be at full strength when No. 21 USC and No. 9 UCLA visit the Coors Events Center next weekend.
Following Sunday's five-set win against Arizona, head coach Jesse Mahoney announced that senior middle blocker Katelyn Cuff has been fully cleared from an ankle injury that has sidelined her the past nine matches. Cuff recorded a total of 28 kills and 16 blocks during CU's season-opening trio of matches at the Portland State Invitational — contests missed by junior outside hitter/setter Gabby Simpson due to injury — but has been sidelined in the month since.
Cuff participated in pregame workouts on Sundayt for the first time since getting injured, but Mahoney wanted the senior to log a little more practice time before returning Cuff to the rotation.
"(Cuff) looks better each time. We're just waiting to we get her in a full week of practice and comfortable," Mahoney said. "I think it would've been a little unfair to put her in (against Arizona). I don't think she's quite ready. But we're excited to get her back on the floor and challenging for some time."
