The University of Colorado cross country and track and field programs landed another prestigious honor on Monday as Maddie Alm was named one of 23 recipients of the Pac-12 Conference's postgraduate scholarships.

Alm graduated in May with dual degrees in psychology and integrative physiology, maintaining a GPA of at least 3.30 throughout her career. A graduate of Monarch High School, Alm finished 12th in the 1,500-meter run at the NCAA finals in June to earn her first All-American honor.

The postgraduate scholarship is worth $9,000 and is awarded to those student-athletes who "maintained a minimum 3.0 grade point average and demonstrated a commitment to education, campus and community involvement, and leadership."

Alm plans to continue her education by pursuing a nutritional sciences degree at San Diego State.
