While Thomas Akyazili certainly wanted his team to perform better, the Colorado guard can't complain about how he acquitted himself against international competition over the past week.

Akyazili and the Belgium U20 national team wrapped up play in the 2016 FIBA European Championships on Sunday, dropping a 79-70 decision against France to finish 14th overall.

CU's sophomore guard scored 11 points in the finale, going 3-for-7 from the field and 5-for-7 from the free throw line. Akyazili also recorded four assists, four rebounds, and a steal in just over 26 minutes.

Bolstered by a 23-point game Friday against Israel, Akyazili came on strong to finish the seven-game tournament run with a team-leading 13.0 points per game. Akyazili also led the Belgium U20 team (2-5) with 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game while also averaging 4.4 rebounds.
